The laboratories of the Institute EMK are located at two different places.
www.emk.tu-darmstadt.deIm Herbst 2006 erhielt Dr.-Ing. Tran Quoc Khanh den Ruf an das Fachgebiet Lichttechnik.
Im Rahmen der Strukturplanung wurde das Fachgebiet dem Institut für EMK zugeordnet, so dass das Institut für EMK wieder aus drei Fachgebieten besteht.

www.emk.tu-darmstadt.deIn the year 2003 negotiations of Darmstadt University of Technology with an automotive and lighting technology foundation led to the result, that the successful specific area of lighting technology of emeritus Prof. Schmidt-Clausen will be carried on in terms of a founded professorship at Darmstadt University of Technology.
Within the scope of a strategic planning the the lighting technology has been assigned to the institute for EMK.

In der Messkammer EMK 1 können Eichgittermessungen an 1” und 1/2” Microtech Gefell Messmikrofonkapseln in normalen Arbeitsräumen durchgeführt werden.
Die EMK 1 dämpft durch die solide Konstruktion die Außengeräusche um ca. 40 dB.

Elektrostatic actuator measurements of 1” and 1/2” Microtech Measuring Microphone Capsules can be performed within the Measuring Chamber EMK 1 in normal working environments.
Due to its solid construction the EMK 1 reduces the outside noise by about 40 dB.
