www.giz.deIn den Pilotgebieten werden Erosion und Weidezustand erfasst und kartiert, um auf dieser Grundlage geeignete Erosionsschutzmaßnahmen zu identifizieren.
Neben gezielten kleinflächigen Aufforstungen, kommunaler Waldwirtschaft und ingenieursbiologischen Erosionsschutzmaßnahmen gehört zum integrierten Erosionsschutz auch nachhaltiges Weidemanagement, mit unterschiedlicher Ausprägung in den drei Ländern.
Begleitend werden Anreizinstrumente entwickelt, zum Beispiel Verbesserung der Weidequalität, Anpassung von Pachtverträgen oder Ausbau und Entwicklung von Wertschöpfungsketten.

Apart from the targeted reforestation of small areas, community forest management and mechanical and biological erosion protection measures, integrated erosion control includes sustainable pasture management. This takes different forms in the three countries concerned.
Parallel to these activities, incentive instruments are being developed, for example, improving pasture quality, adapting lease agreements and establishing and developing value chains.
