Halophytes are an interesting group of plants for different investigations and biological applications due to their special physiological characteristics and biochemical composition.
Our field of interest is their potential for biofiltration, phytoremediation and economic plant growing.

Außerdem werden mögliche Anwendungsgebiete ausgewählter Halophyten mit Filterkapazitäten in Betracht gezogen und untersucht.
Neben der Verwendung als Nahrungs- und Futtermittelpflanze spielt hierbei das nutraceutische und biotechnologische Potential (Öle, Fette, Zucker, sekundäre Pflanzenstoffe) der Halophyten eine Rolle.
