So ist das Goethe-Wörterbuch nicht nur ein Instrument der Goethe-Philologie, sondern auch eine Informationsquelle für Wissenschafts- und Kulturgeschichte, Begriffs- und Ideengeschichte.
Das Vorhaben wird gemeinsam getragen von den Akademien der Wissenschaften in Heidelberg, Göttingen und Berlin, mit weiteren Arbeitsstellen in Hamburg und Berlin/Leipzig.
www.haw.uni-heidelberg.deThe dictionary takes equal account of ordinary language, the wide range of special-purpose ( scientific ) language and termini employed by Goethe and the specific usages encountered in his literary works.
Accordingly, the Goethe Dictionary is not merely of interest to research scholars specialising in Goethe and his works, but also an invaluable source of information for all those working on the history of science, culture, ideas and concepts.
The project is a joint undertaking by the Academies of Sciences and Humanities in Heidelberg, Göttingen and Berlin, with associated research centres in Hamburg and Berlin/Leipzig.
