- O Remembrance Day, Remembrance Sunday ou Poppy Day é celebrado no segundo domingo de novembro em comemoração ao armistício assinado em 11 de novembro de 1918. Nesse dia presta-se uma homenagem principalmente com missas e outras cerimônias a todos os soldados que morreram nas duas guerras mundiais. As pessoas levam papoulas confeccionadas em tecido que simbolizam as papoulas florescentes nos campos de batalha de Flandres depois da Primeira Guerra Mundial. Às 11 horas da manhã, guardam-se dois minutos de silêncio.
