For the production of synthetic biodiesel (BtL) from wet agricultural biomass large quantities of biomass must be transported to the centralised BtL-plant.
www.ti.bund.deLandwirtschaftliche Biomassen besitzen gegenüber fossilen Energieträgern den Nachteil, dass sie nicht lagerfähig und aufgrund der geringen Energiedichte wenig transportwürdig sind.
Zur Herstellung von synthetischem Biodiesel (BtL) aus landwirtschaftlichen Rohstoffen sind jedoch große Brennstoffmengen erforderlich, die aus dezentraler Erzeugung zur BtL-Großanlage transportiert werden müssen.
