Für die manifesta7 wählten die Kuratoren Anselm Franke und Hila Peleg fünf Filme aus der Sammlung des Arsenal aus, die sie im Südtiroler Ort Franzensfeste im Kellergewölbe einer Festung zeigten.
Einer davon war BARN RUSHES, eine Wiederentdeckung des amerikanischen Experimentalfilmers Larry Gottheim aus dem Jahre 1971 ( 36 Minuten ), über den Tony Conrad schrieb:
"… elegant yet rustic in its simplicity of execution; tugged gently toward different sides of the set by hints of color and motion interactions, positive and negative spaces, etc., and the unyielding delivery on one of the great apotheoses of poetic cinema at fade-out time."
