The inclusion bodies were obtained by simultaneous infection ( co-infection ) of cells originating from the established and widespread insect cell line Spodoptera frugiperda ( Sf21 ) with the wildtyp AcMNPV and a recombinant AcOGFP virus.
In order to achieve appropriate coinfection inclusion bodies for the in vitro biotest, suitable production conditions were identified by co-infections with varying ratios of wildtyp AcMNPV to recombinant AcOGFP virus (variation of MOI).
Virus activity was quantified by the 50% tissue-culture infectious dose methode (TCID50-assay) in micro titer plates.
