www.gs.ethz.chThe bulk of the Italian holdings goes back to the collecting activities of the Swiss painter Rudolf Bühlmann ( 1812- 1890 ) during his thirty-four-year stay in Rome, and the donation of the Zurich banker Heinrich Schulthess-von Meiss ( 1813-1898 ).
