Anlässlich seiner Einweihungsrede am 15.02.2014 bezeichnete der türkische Ministerpräsident die neue U-Bahn-Brücke Haliç über das Goldene Horn als „historisches Werk“.
„Historisch“ ist ein treffender Ausdruck, wenn man betrachtet, dass Leonardo da Vinci eine solche Brücke über das Goldene Horn bereits 1502 skizzierte!

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Turkey’s Prime Minister qualified the new Haliç metro bridge across the Golden Horn as “a historic step forward”.
“Historic” is really the right appellation, when one considers that Leonardo da Vinci in 1502 already designed such a bridge over the Golden Horn!
