Ermöglicht wurde das „ Helikopterprojekt “ im Rahmen der langjährigen partnerschaftlichen Kooperation der Hertha Firnberg Schulen mit der FH Technikum Wien.
Unter der Leitung von Gerd Krizek, Mitarbeiter am Institut für Angewandte Mathematik & Naturwissenschaften, modifizierten die Jugendlichen einen Helikopter, wie er für meteorologische Messungen oder im Katastrophenschutz zum Einsatz kommt, statteten ihn mit einer Kamera aus und brachten ihn zum Fliegen.

Under the leadership of Gerd Krizek, an employee at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the pupils modified a helicopter with the type of set-up used for meteorological measurements or for natural disaster protection, equipped it with a camera and got it up into the air.

Als vielseitig interessierter Mensch reiste er später durch viele Länder der Welt, lernte das Fliegen eines Helikopters und betätigte sich als Kunstsammler nepalesischer Künstler.
1970 heiratete er Aishwarya Rajya Laxmi Devi Rana und das Fest war in Sachen Prunk kaum zu überbieten.

As a versatile interested man he travelled through many countries around the world, he learnt how to fly a helicopter and he was an art collector of Nepales artists.

Während der Demo war die Polizei außer dem allgegenwärtigen Kreisen des Helikopters über der Demo fast unsichtbar.
