Wir untersuchen Aufbau, Expression, Struktur und Funktion synaptisch lokalisierter Signalkomplexe, die mit Rezeptoren für den erregenden Neurotransmitter Glutamat, die inhibierenden Neurotransmitter γ-Aminobuttersäure (GABA) und Glycin, sowie mit weiteren Ionenkanälen (spannungsgesteuerte Chloridkanäle - ClC, epitheliale Natriumkanäle - ENaC) assoziiert sind.

We analyse the composition, expression, structure and function of synaptic signal complexes that are associated with receptors for the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate, the inhibitory neurotransmitters γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glycine, as well as with other ion channels (voltage-gated chloride channel - ClC, epithelial sodium channels - ENaC).
