Nach Forschungsaufenthalten in Osaka / Japan , Freiburg und Berlin gründete er im Frühjahr 2000 das Institut für Polymorphismus und Mutationsanalytik Deutschland in Homburg / Saar , das sich hauptsächlich mit der Analyse von DNA verschiedener Spezies beschäftigt .
Seit 2002 führt er Schwerpunktseminare und Workshops zu PCR-Themen durch.
