The power station is the result of an Initiative by Alpiq and the municipality of Splügen.
Alpiq holds a 70 percent share in Wasserkraftwerk Tambobach AG and the municipality of Splügen a 30 percent share.
The plant, which cost 8.8 million Swiss francs and has a capacity of 1.8 MW.
