Der geringe flächenbezogene Kapitalbedarf und der sehr niedrige Arbeitszeitbedarf der Kreisberegnungsmaschine führten dazu, diese Technik als Träger- und Wasserzuführungssystem für die Tropfrohre zu verwenden.
Das neu entwickelte Bewässerungsverfahren „die mobile Tropfbewässerung“ verbindet die genannten Vorteile der Kreisberegnung und die der Tropfbewässerung.
Zu dem Projekt liegen eine Dissertation und diverse Veröffentlichungen vor.
