The station square became a traffic lane, and the axis of Koenigstrasse was interrupted by a new road-layout, with the result that the building became an island.
The installation of trendy light-metal doors and inappropriate plastic or aluminium windows with no sash-bars perforates the aesthetic closeness of the facades, as do different fixtures, kiosks and rampant advertising in the interior.
The original spatial effect can now only be experienced in historical photos.

Der Einbau modischer Leichtmetalltüren und unpassender, sprossenloser Fenster aus Kunststoff und Aluminium durchlöchert die ästhetische Geschlossenheit der Fassaden ebenso wie unterschiedliche Einbauten, Kioske und eine ungezügelte Werbung im Inneren.
Die ursprüngliche Raumwirkung ist nur noch auf historischen Photos erlebbar.
