Component 3 builds on a previous project ( SAFO ) implemented by GIZ in conjunction with BASF from 2008 to 2012 within the scope of the develoPPP.de programme.
As part of this project, staple foods – primarily edible oil and maize and wheat flour – were enriched with micronutrients for the benefit of the entire population.
