Gran Bretaña está dividida, con fines administrativos, en áreas. Las más grandes son los condados county y en Escocia, regiones region; ambos se dividen en districts. Los Parish Councils (Community Councils en Escocia y Gales) son las unidades más pequeñas de gobierno local.
